Troubleshooting

Common Post Issues

Post Not Publishing:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify you have posting permissions
  • Ensure content doesn’t exceed character limits
  • For polls, verify you have at least two options filled out
  • For events, confirm required fields (start time, location) are completed

Poll Updates and Voting:

  • Polls maintain vote counts and individual user votes when edited
  • Once you’ve voted, your vote is recorded and cannot be changed
  • If you encounter issues with poll display after updates, try refreshing the page
  • For detailed vote information, click on the number of votes shown

Media Not Uploading:

  • Check file format compatibility
  • Verify file size is within limits
  • Try a different browser if problems persist
  • Ensure you’ve selected the correct post type

Search Not Returning Expected Results:

  • Check your spelling and try different keywords
  • Ensure the post was shared with you or in a group you can access
  • Remember that search only looks at post content text
  • Try more general terms if specific searches don’t work

Cannot Edit Post:

  • Ensure you are the original author
  • Verify edit functionality hasn’t been restricted
  • Check if the edit time window has expired
